LEE627C - Teagasc - Supply of Laboratory Equipment

The supply of 5 items of Laboratory Equipment for Teagasc, Moorepark Technology Ltd, Fermoy, Co. Cork as follows: Lot 1) a Multi-functional Processor Mixer System capable of indirect and direct heating, with high shear and gentle shear options. Induction of micro and macro ingredients to be considered. The multi-functional machine is intended for use in manufacture of dairy products - processed cheese, baby food formulation, fresh cheese preparations and reconstitution of powders. Lot 2) an UHT Tubular Heat Exchanger with options to add Instant Infusion, DSI, cooling sections, holding sections, and aseptic sampling. Capability of 350-1000kg /hr, Capable of handling viscous liquid food and dairy products, temperature range 5-150°C and Colloing capability < 15°C with Variable holding tubes. Lot 3) an UHP Homogeniser with a throughput of ~ 1000L/hr that allows the simultaneous sterilization and homogenization of beverages and other liquid products without causing damage to their original properties. Lot 4) a Vaccum Microwave Drying System for rapid, low temperature drying to preserve flavours and key nutrients in dairy and fermented products and by products at a scale of 10kg water evaporation capacity, equivalent 10kg WEC/Hr. Lot 5) a Jacketed Process Tank between 25,000 - 40,000 Litre volume. There is an urgency due to projects starting which require this equipment.
