5625 - On-board Passenger WIFI Support & Maintenance

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) are advertising a tender process for a 3 year contract for the provision of maintenance and technical support of its free to access passenger Wi-Fi service. The Wi-Fi service is currently provided by means of Icomera X6 and X4 internet gateways installed on board the rolling stock. The contract will cover 1st line support (via helpdesk) for problems relating to passengers unable to access the service and also to provide IÉ with 2nd line maintenance support (including on-site at various locations nationwide) to remedy in-service failures to minimise downtime. Companies wishing to provide this service to IÉ can do so by means of either (a) supporting the existing installation and equipment; or (b) by installing an alternative hardware/gateway arrangement, the cost of which will be included in a fixed price per month to IÉ for the provision of the service.
