This award procedure relates to the execution of acoustic surveys in County Wexford to assess compliance with planning conditions and investigate noise nuisance complaints.

Lot 1 – Noise Monitoring Services (Wind Farms) Description: This will involve measuring sound around a number of wind farm sites for a variety of parameters and the compilation of an assessment report from the results of these surveys. The scope of services involves inter-alia the continuous simultaneous acoustic monitoring at up to 4 wind farm sites which will require a minimum of 12 noise meters to be deployed under the initial contract. This will include an assessment report for each wind farm addressing their compliance regarding noise emissions under the following headings: 1. Compliance with planning conditions on the wind farms being tested, 2. Compliance with the Dept of Environment, Community and Local Government’s Wind Energy Development Guidelines 2006, 3. Comment on the sound with regard to WHO standards, 4. Comment on the existence or otherwise of noise nuisance There are 10 functioning wind farms in County Wexford and it is envisaged that they all will be monitored over the period of the framework.
