This Contract Notice relates to OJEU Notice 2014/S 219-387972 published on 13 November 2014. Irish Rail requires the services of a competent contractor, or contractors, to provide security for its premises, property, buildings, goods-in-transit and passengers.

The Frontline and On-Board Security contractor will interface with Irish Rail passengers and members of the public. This security presence is part of Irish Rail's customer offering to ensure that the passenger's experience when using Irish Rail's services is safe and secure.
The Static Security contractor will take on the security function at Irish Rail's stations, buildings, depots etc. as required. Specific locations will have a permanent or semi-permanent presence at the points of entry and exit to and from premises. Key-holding, where an operative will be required to open and lock up unmanned stations around the rail network and also to secure Irish Rail's assets such as passenger lifts and ticket vending machines, will also be required.
This Lot, Lot 3, is a combination of Lots 1 and 2. Successful candidates may tender for Lot 1 or Lot 2 or Lot 3. Detailed specifications and pricing documents will be issued with the Invitation to Tender to successful candidates. Please note the annual turnover figures stated in the attached Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
