Irish Rail requires the services of a competent contractor, or contractors, to provide security for its premises, property, buildings, goods-in-transit and passengers.

Irish Rail reserves the right to extend any contract awarded, as a result of this tender process, for a further 24 months in 12-month increments
The Frontline and On-Board security
contractor will interface with Irish
Rail passengers and members of the
public. This security presence is
part of Irish Rail‘s customer
offering to ensure that the
passenger‘s experience when using
Irish Rail‘s services is safe and secure.

The Static security contractor will

required. Specific locations will
have a permanent or semi-permanent
presence, in the form entry and exit
to and from premises, and key-holding
where an operative will be required
to open and lock up unmanned stations
around the rail network and also to
secure Irish Rail‘s assets such as
passenger lifts and ticket vending
machines.

This Contract Notice relates to OJEU Notice 2014/S 219-387972 published on 13 November 2014. The purpose of this new notice is to advise the market of the division of the contract into lots and the introduction of a third lot. Parties who have already expressed an interest and submitted a PQQ under the earlier notice above, need not submit again. The earlier submissioins remain valid. Candidates may, however, submit revised information based on the division into lots if they so desire.
