HSE 4606 - Emergency Out of Hours Service (EOHS) Tusla

Tusla/HSE wishes to invite suitably qualified service providers to put in place the following services: 1. Placements for children under Section 12(3) of the Child Care Act, 1991 through the provision of 20 strategically situated places of safety with assessed carer families, available nationally (excluding counties Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and) and coordinated from 1 national office, which Gardai can access out of hours; 2. Access to a local on-call social worker to provide consultation and advice by phone or on-site to An Garda Siochana, available nationally (excluding counties Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and Cork) and provided in 8 regional areas. This is only a proposal at the moment and may not be included in this procurement. But if it is included, it will be subject to 12 monthly renewals. The national Call Centre will be provided by Tusla and will triage all referrals from An Garda Siochana and coordinate all cases. Services Required 1. 20 carer families providing national coverage in strategic geographical locations (excluding counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow) and coordinated from one national office; All families must be approved carers subject to the Child Care regulations and provide the most appropriate environment. They will all be trained and consistently supervised and monitored, subject to the Child Care regulations. There will be a central control system with one single contact point nationally, accessible to the national Call Centre. 2. One social worker in each of eight regions providing national coverage (excluding counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow) providing on-call consultation and advice by phone or on-site to An Garda Siochana.
