SSCON3712 - Provision of a framework of Project Management and IT services to support ESB Network’s Smart Metering project

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) wishes to invite expression of interests from service providers to provide SMART Metering IT services to take responsibility and support aspects of project work on ESB Network’s SMART Metering project. These services will operate outside the current ESB IT services framework. It is essential that the service providers have a proven track record of delivery of major SMART metering projects. Service providers will be expected to: • Provide design and implementation services across SMART Metering technologies and aligned to ESB ITS standards • To work collaboratively with the SMART Programme, with responsibility for delivery of aspects of the project which will include: o Integration of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and SAP ISU systems o Delivery of a Project Management service at all levels (Programme and Project management, PMO) to manage a significant Smart Metering project with circa 200 FTEs o Test Management, Test Automation and Quality management services o Contract Management Strategy, implementation and management o Providing industry leading advice & recommendations on design of technical solutions across AMI and Enterprise systems o Providing industry leading advice & recommendations on design of security solutions across AMI and Enterprise systems o Provide implementation services on technical and security solutions across AMI and Enterprise systems o Provide SAP design, build and test services to support IT services in delivering necessary changes for SMART Metering implementation o Provide Application development and support services to support IT services in delivering necessary changes for SMART Metering implementation o Support ESB ITS in the delivery of System Integration on the ESB Networks Smart Metering project • Leverage an extensive network of technical and/or industry expertise as required to work onshore on the ESB Network’s SMART Metering project at ESB premises
