2016/22 - The supply of commercially published Business Information/Market Research Databases available electronically in Seventeen (17) Lots

Tenders are invited for for the supply of electronic business information/market research databases for The Market Research Centre (MRC) of Enterprise Ireland (EI). EI staff and clients require up to date published multi-sectoral global research, company lists, profiles and financial reports, economic reports on countries and full text and archive of trade journals. The role of the Market Research Centre is to provide EI client companies with the market intelligence needed to grow jobs and exports. The Centre is staffed by professional information specialists trained and experienced in selecting and retrieving pertinent information from global resources. The Market Research Centre performs the following key functions: * Selection of appropriate electronic resources covering published research etc. * Procurement of the selected resources. * Promotion of these resources to EI staff and clients. * Use of the resources to carry out research/answer research requests submitted by EI and clients – approximately 2000 research requests from Staff and EI client companies are received annually. These requests are dealt with by the use of approximately 30 databases supplying electronically available business information/market research. * Assist staff and clients to use MRC resources to carry out their own research on EI premises. * MRC staff log clients onto databases – passwords used are not visible to clients and no electronic downloading is permitted. * Dissemination of information on an ad hoc basis to staff and clients (i.e. MRC staff alert colleagues and clients when new resources arrive which they know will be of interest).
