For: The design and construction of an ASD unit at Our Lady's Secondary School, Templemore, Co. Tipperary totalling approximately 550m2 together with the provision of replacement accommodation, demolition, site and external works.

On behalf of Our Lady's Secondary School Board of Management (the Contracting Authority for this project) you are hereby invited to tender for services in the above consultancy disciplines.
Form of Contract
The form of Contract will be the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical COE1) including the Template Schedule A & B available at under School Planning/Building/Technical Guidance.
Tender Returns: Monday, 1st December 2014 at 12 noon.

Tender submissions must be sent by hand or by Registered Post to arrive at the above address not later than the latest time and date shown above. Email and Fax submissions will not be accepted. Tenders sent to any other address will be deemed invalid tenders. Unsigned tenders/tender proposal forms will likewise be deemed invalid tenders. The signature for the Form of Tender/Tender Proposal Form must be that of a Principal or Director for the firm. Tenders must be in the format prescribed in the Form of Tender/Tender Proposal Form.
Applicants should submit their tender in a sealed envelope which should be clearly marked “Tender for Design Team (ASD Unit)”.
Queries:
All queries in relation to this tender competition must be submitted by e-mail to as soon as possible and in any event not later than 5 working days before the latest time for receipt of tenders, although the Contracting Authority may at its discretion respond to queries raised after that date. If the Contracting Authority responds to a query, it will send the response to each Candidate unless the Candidate raising the query has clearly designated the query as confidential and the Contracting Authority agrees that it should be treated as confidential.
Description of Project
The project comprises of the design and construction of a Two Classroom ASD unit 552m2 as per the standard DES schedule of accommodation at Our Lady's Secondary School Templemore. This newly appointed Design Team must liaise with a Design Team of a Major Project currently under construction at the school. This is to ensure that the design of the ASD unit is compatible with the Major Building Project. The design of the ASD unit will necessitate demolition work and the replacement of some existing accommodation. The unit must be fully integrated with the existing school building.
Services to be provided:
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Architects, Consulting Engineers and Quantity Surveyors for consultancy services for the delivery of the project in accordance with the Department of Education and Skills Design Team Procedures and relevant Technical Guidance Documents which are available on the website of the Department of Education and Skills.
Site Visit
The school will facilitate a site visit on Friday, 14th November from 11am -1pm.
