Re: Invitation to Tender for Architectural Consultancy Services for Additional SEN Accommodation project at Dromore National School, Crossroads, Killygordon, Roll No. 16349I 

 

A Chara,

On behalf of the Board of Management ( the contracting Authority for this project) you are hereby invited to tender for architectural services including buying in of additional services for other disciplines as required for the above project.

 

The project consists of:

  • a two classroom ASD . Facility Extension, as per the standard DOES schedule of accommodation, total area approximately 470m2.
  • Additional hard play space of 100m2
  • Additional hard play ballcourt for displaced play area due to new extensions.
  • car park area for six additional cars for ASD teachers.
  • Professional fees including normal associated costs such as surveys and investigations. Professional fees are deemed to include for procuring all required statutory consents (planning permission, fire safety certificate, disability access certificate)
  • The existing septic tank will need to be upgraded to accommodate the proposed development. The existing building services may not have capacity for the expansion proposed and so provision must be made for creating the additional capacity required.

The Form of contract will be the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical COE1) including the template schedule A and B, available at 

www.education.ie under school design>Appointment of Consultants > Small Works and Small Devolved Projects. 

Tender Returns

Tender close on: Thursday the 14th August at 16:00.

The address for submission of Tenders is; For the Attention of: Ms. Mary Mc Granaghan, Dromore National School, Crossroads, Killygordon, Co. Donegal.

Tender submissions must be sent (by hand or by or by Registered post)  to arrive at the above address not later that the latest time and date stated above. Email and Fax submissions are not permitted. The onus is on the sender to obtain proof of delivery of any tender unless sent by registered post or recorded delivery.

Tenders sent to any other address will be deemed invalid tenders. Unsigned tenders/tender proposal forms will likewise be deemed invalid tenders.The signature for the Form of Tender/ Tender Proposal Form must be that of a Principal or Director of the firm. Tenders must be in the format prescribed in the Form of Tender/ Tender Proposal Form.

Tender Submissions

Applicants should submit their tender in a sealed envelope.  The sealed envelope must contain:

  1. The Completed and Signed DoES form of Tender Consultants 2013 (attached),
  2. The Completed And Signed Tender Proposal Form (attached)
  3. A Stamped self-addressed A4 envelope (so that de-briefing material can be sent to you at the right address) The envelope must be clearly marked with the name of the Tenderer, the name of the Contract, and the content, for example "Tender ABC Limited for Integrated Design Team Services for ABC ... Project"

This comprises the complete information to be issused to the Tenderers.  No additional information will be provided.

Site Visit

The school authorities will facilitate a site visit on Tuesday 29th July 2014 at 12:00 noon to 1:30 only. No site visits will be facilitated outside of this time.

 All queries in relation to this tender competition must be submitted (and will be answered) through teh e-Tenders website. All quereies must be submitted as soon as possible and in any event not later thatn 5 working days before the latest time for receipt of tenders, although the Contracting Authority may at its discretion repond to queries raised after that date. If the Contracting Authority responds to a query, it will send the response to each Candidate unless the Candidate raising the Query has clearly designated the query as condidential and the Contracting Authority agrees that it should be treated as confidential.

Tenders will be assessed in accordance with Guidance on Procuring Consultants fo Small Works, 2nd Editon, March 2014.

Candidates may visit the site by prior arrangement with the School Authorities.
