18/087 & 18/088 - Greater Dublin Drainage Project – Terrestrial Pipelines DB Contract & Greater Dublin Drainage Project – Marine Outfall DB Contract

The proposed Greater Dublin Drainage Project will provide; • A new regional wastewater treatment plant (WwTP) located at Clonshagh in Fingal, County Dublin, Ireland. (Separate PIN Notice Ref 18/086) • 26km Orbital Sewers including two pumping stations and outfall pipeline, linking the proposed Regional WwTP to the existing regional sewer network and marine outfall (This PIN). • Marine Outfall discharging 4.5km out to sea from Baldoyle Bay, 1km northeast of Ireland’s Eye (This PIN). The Works are necessary to facilitate future development in North and West County Dublin and alleviate the treatment pressures that currently exist at Ringsend WwTP. The project will ensure compliance with EU Directives and Irish National Standards. The attached Preliminary Market Consultation information and project background document provides further details.
