To All Tenderers 

Dear Sir / Madam,

 

Re        Refurbishment works to the existing roof at Grennan Collage, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.  

 

Please find accompanying this letter the following in order for you to provide a tender for the above project:

 

1.     Architects drawings & documents

2.     Preliminary Health & Safety Plan

 

Please note the following important items:

-       You are advised to visit the site in advance of submitting your tender to ascertain any local conditions, which might affect your tender; any claims arising from your failure to inspect the site will be rejected.  Arrangements to visit the site must be made through Brian Dunlop Architects only.

-       A form of Contract will be entered into between the Employer and Contractor whose tender is accepted. The form of agreement and Schedule of Conditions of Contract will be the Public Works Short Form of Contract. (PW-CF6)

 

-       The Employer seeks to commence the works on the 25^th June 2018 (after the state exams are complete) and all works must be complete by 17^th August 2018 and you are required to advise, on the Tender & Schedule, when you could commence the works and your time for completion.

-       Your Tender and Schedule and Pricing Document should be returned to Triona Delaney, Kilkenny Carlow Education & Training Board, Saville Lodge, Callan Road, Kilkenny in a sealed envelope with your company’s name noted on the face thereof, no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 06^th April 2018. The envelope should be clearly marked “Tender Kilkenny Carlow Education & Training Board – Grennan College Roof”. 

-       The tender does not include a Pricing Document and Contractors are to provide their own detailed Pricing Document with their tender return.

-       It should be noted that upon the return of tenders and assessment thereof we may request to review one or more tenderer’s Pricing Document and these must be made available to the Employers Representative within a reasonable time of request.

-       It is imperative that the Contractor makes themselves fully aware of the details and standards required for this design and the details shown on the drawings.  It is imperative that the specifications are met and implemented in full on site.  On site and post completion assessments will be undertaken to ensure performance requirements are achieved.
