ET1703 - PIN regarding Contract for Monitoring and Monitoring of the National Car Testing Service (NCTS)

This PIN is being published by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) for the purposes of informing potential service providers of the upcoming public competition for the provision of consultancy services in connection with the monitoring of the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) and managing the process of securing a franchisee to provide and operate the NCTS for the 10 year period 2020 to 2029. More details on this contract and preliminary requirements are available in the attached document. The RSA will hold a tenderer briefing regarding this forthcoming competition during which it will meet with interested parties in order to discuss the competition and obtain feedback/market knowledge that may inform the RSA in further refining its requirements and the Request for Tenders (RFT) document. The meetings are intended to be held in early to mid-February. Interested parties must contact etuffy@rsa.ie by 5pm on January 20th in order to register their participation. Please note that this is not a call for competition and no proposals are being sought at this stage. The RSA expects to publish the RFT for the aforementioned services in the month of March 2017.

This Prior Information Notice is being published by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) for the purpose of informing potential service providers of the upcoming public competition for the provision of NCTS Monitoring and Supervisory Services in relation to the National Car Testing Service (NCTS). Prior to the anticipated issue of a contract notice interested parties are invited to participate in a market sounding exercise in relation to the proposed. The RSA would like to hear from interested parties to take part in a market sounding exercise during which it would meet with interested parties in order to discuss this competition and obtain feedback/market knowledge that may inform the RSA in further refining its requirements as per the attached document.
