Re:  CC/021/16 Provision of Web Hosting Services Cork City Council

 

Cork City Council require Web Hosting Services, in particular the services as listed in the attached word document.   Indicative list is below for general information. 

However, please be aware that the complete list, together will full requirements, is attached in documentation.  This documentation needs to be downloaded and complied with in full.

Indicative list of requirements:

 

1.         Secure 24/7 dedicated hosting environment, including technical support, with a guaranteed uptime of 99.98% for Cork City Council’s suite of websites. Please provide details of the proposed solution.

2.         The hosting solution must cater for high volume traffic at peak periods

3.         Details regarding the resilience of the data centre supporting the proposed solution

4.         Details on the hosting company’s nightly backup procedures for the proposed solution

5.         Details on the hosting company’s disaster recovery procedures

6.         Adequate storage to facilitate the current and anticipated hosting requirements of Cork City Council must be provided (currently using 70GB)

7.         Each website must have a unique root directory and an associated FTP account to facilitate the automatic synchronisation between the council’s CMS (TerminalFour’s SiteManager) and the ‘live’ website. Presently the council has 20 ‘live’ websites and a number of test and dormant websites

8.         Requirement for WordPress enabled and managed websites

9.         FTP access to the web server allowing council ICT and Business Services staff access to all individual websites on the web server

10.     FTP access to sections within individual council websites, which also have additional authentication measures applied in order to facilitate content feeds/authenticated access

11.     Scripts will also be required to handle the mailforms for the council’s websites (120 in use at present)

12.     Occasionally software may need to be installed and configured on the web server by the hosting company

13.     Occasional requirement for physical access to the web server

14.     Completion of the Cloud Security questionnaire (Appendix F)
