Qualification System for the supply and Installation of circa.200MWe of Electrolyser equipment for project(s) in Ireland and the UK

The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Qualification System to procure the scope of works pertaining to the supply and Installation of Electrolyser equipment for project(s) in Ireland and the UK.

The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Qualification System to procure the scope of works pertaining to the supply and Installation of Electrolyser equipment for project(s) in Ireland and the UK.ESB plans to develop or acquire initial hydrogen production projects for commercial operation by end of 2027 in Ireland and/or the UK, with further projects to be developed up to 2030. Total scale of projects is expected to be in the region of 200MWe, with individual projects expected to range from 3 MWe to 50MWe. Typically the scope for this QSQ shall include some or all of the following services; 1)Supply, install and commission electrolyser projects in the 3 MWe to 50 MWe+ size range at site locations in Ireland and/or the UK. 2)Complete balance of scope (design, civil works, electrical and substation works, water treatment, compression, storage, blending, integrated control system, equipment and works for connection to off takers, commissioning and testing, etc) on an Engineer Procure & Construct (EPC) basis. 3) Provide a minimum of a 2-year service support package for all OEM equipment.
Detailed scope and contracting strategy for each project will be determined at the tender stage.
