Short description
The requirement is for the provision of a managed laundry service for the Student Residences in Maynooth University. The service should provide sufficient assessable laundry facilities for 1146 beds divided over two laundry buildings and must offer a cashless payment facility preferable APP/Mobile based.
The proposal should outline flexible payment solutions for users such as: housekeeping staff (overriding payment requirement), Residents who do not posses a smart phone/Short stay/Single use users/pay at machine capability (e.g Apple pay etc), prepaid or credit options (i.e. the ability to offer “free washes” to groups for whom their accommodation package includes Laundry).

Description of the procurement
The requirement is for the provision of a managed laundry service for the Student Residences in Maynooth University. The service should provide sufficient assessable laundry facilities for 1146 beds divided over two laundry buildings and must offer a cashless payment facility preferable APP/Mobile based.
The proposal should outline flexible payment solutions for users such as: housekeeping staff (overriding payment requirement), Residents who do not posses a smart phone/Short stay/Single use users/pay at machine capability (e.g Apple pay etc), prepaid or credit options (i.e. the ability to offer “free washes” to groups for whom their accommodation package includes Laundry).
The tenderer will manage the collection of payments, deal with any refunds owing to users, the reimbursement to Maynooth and will prepare regular reports on income, usage etc.
Where new rooms come on stream the option to add additional laundries or machines to the contract should be available.
Customer service provision for both the client and the end users should be directly available to users preferably via an online platform with a callout response which is also available at weekends.
Tenderers will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the machines, regular servicing and replacement where necessary.
