Short description

The primary purpose of this procurement is to put in place a database support contract to be availed of in the following manner:
A) Non-Scheduled (emergency) Database Support
(i) Oracle Database Support. Tailte – Registration Division has a support contract with Oracle under its licencing arrangement (which will be available to the successful tenderer) but wishes to augment that support with external DBA expertise that will be available in emergency situations/unscheduled downtime. Normal day to day database tasks will be undertaken by Tailte – Registration Division’s own DBA staff.
(ii) To put an emergency MS SQL database support contract in place.
B) Scheduled (routine) DBA Support
(i) To acquire a number of ‘call-off’ days in each year which will be used to make necessary upgrades such as patches, release updates, security updates etc. to our various installations and other tasks as required
