Description of the procurement

The system must be able to provide the following; DNA sequencing/resequencing and variety of fragment analysis including but not limited to MLPA and Microsatellite analysis. The instrument should be compatible with 3130xl that is currently use. The software on the instrument must be compatabile with existing software programmes currently in use in house and the new software provided with the instrument must allow for historical data to be analysed with the new system software and be readily accessible via this system. The software provided must be Windows 7 at a minimum with the ability to be upgraded to Windows 10 (free). The instrument should have the capability of linking with a barcode scanner scan to scan the plate template and connect with the instrument computer. The instrument should have the capability of linking to a LIMS and/or electronic health record system. An on-board system to ensure that the appropriate reagents & consumables are present and in-date (where applicable) prior to a run would be very beneficial. There should be removal of existing equipment.
