Short description

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is the contracting authority.This tender focuses on providing patient digital engagement infrastructure to improve patient and family experience, to strengthen engagement in patient’s journey through CHI and to improve healthcare outcomes. It aims to empower and engage patients and their caregivers in the treatment journey. The system will also support the schools within the hospital to deliver their services to children given that 80% of education of a child as an inpatient takes place at the bedside. Lastly, with the system CHI aims at reducing the overheads nursing staff have in dealing with patient requests by allowing in-patients to request service through technology, for example enabling patients to order meals themselves and using nurse call system for TV control and audio output.
