In summary, the requirements of this RFT are for the sourcing, bundling and delivery of Hard-copy newspapers and magazines to the Department of the Taoiseach. Deliveries will be made to the Department of the Taoiseach’s premises at Government Buildings, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin D02 R483.
Daily newspapers will be delivered each working day, Mon. - Fri. Deliveries should be made between 6:30am and 7am.
Weekend titles should be grouped with deliveries made on the following Monday.
Bank Holiday editions should be delivered the following working day.
Note that it is a requirement of the service that the publications be sub-divided into specific bundles as directed prior to delivery. A full list of the titles requested, the quantity of each to be delivered and directions for the bundling of the papers is attached for information at Appendix 1.

Description of the procurement

Any contract that may result from this Competition (the “Services Contract”) will be issued for a term of three (3) years (“the Term”). The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the Term for a period of up to six (6) months with a maximum of two such extensions on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Contracting Authority’s obligations at law.
The Contracting Authority estimates that the expenditure on the Services to be covered by the proposed Services Contract may amount to some €200,000 (excl. VAT) over the maximum term of the contract, inclusive of any possible extensions. However, prospective Tenderers must understand that this figure is an estimate only based on current and future expected usage.
