Short description

This is a VEAT notice to indicated that the HSE intends to utilise EU public procurement directive Art 32.(b)(iii) negotiated procedure without prior publication
The use of this article is for the provision a high throughput High Throughput Cytology Slide Processor Solution for the National Cervical Screening Laboratory (NCSL) at Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital (CWIUH). It is intended to award the contract for the provision of this solution to Screenlink Healthcare. The negotiated procedure arose from a Request for Information advertised in February 2022 whereby Screenlink Healthcare were the only respondent that could provide a solution that can process samples acquired using the Hologic ThinPrep collection medium, as mandared in the the document - National Screening Service: CervicalCheck HPV Primary Screening - HrHPV acceptable tests (Released July 2019), and also, the only economic operator that can provide a solution that meets the required high capacity output.

Description of the procurement

This is a VEAT notice to indicated that the HSE intends to utilise EU public procurement directive Art 32.(b)(iii) negotiated procedure without prior publication in the following case. (B) where works, supplies or services can be supplied only a particular economic operator for any of the following reasons: (iii) competition is absent for technical reasons.
