This objective of the RFT is to award a services contract to two Framework Members using a cascade mechanism to provide general legal advice.
Required Services
The range of services required by SOLAS are in the following four areas -
• Administrative and Public Law – advices on matters relating to the public service environment, our statutory duties and the scope of our statutory remit.
• Corporate and Commercial Law - advices on matters related to contract, tort and competition law. Compliance with corporate governance obligations, including data protection and freedom of information law, and financial compliance.
• EU and Trade law – advices on matters related to implementation of provisions of relevant EU legislation.
• Employment – general employment advices, pensions, protected disclosures, external services delivery.
From time to time we may also require -
• drafting services for contracts/agreements and legislative drafting;
• litigation services, including judicial review and other forms of dispute resolution, including conciliation, arbitration and ADR;
• advice in relation to various schemes and programmes operated by SOLAS
• analysis of Irish, EU or international law which may have an impact on our statutory remit;
• Occasional advices on property and planning matters.
