Description of the procurement

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin has awarded the works contract (including other services). The project concerns the construction works located at the University’s city centre campus. The Contracting Authority has awarded the contract to J.J. Rhatigan & Company Unlimited Company.
The purpose of the E3 Learning Foundry Project is to develop the first phase of a new institute for interdisciplinary study and research into Engineering, Energy and the Environment, the E3 Learning Foundry. The E3 Learning Foundry is located within the campus of Trinity College Dublin and envisages the co‐location of teaching and learning activities for the three schools of Engineering, Computer Science and Natural Science. The building will be 7,288m2 across six floors above a single storey basement, with 6,760 m2 of teaching space.
The E3 building will be located on the site of the old Biochemistry building, Roberts Lab and Anatomy Annexe, and is in close proximity to the Trinity Anatomy Building which includes the Anatomy Department dissection hall.
