The Department of Foreign Affairs is seeking proposals from suitable, experienced service providers who have the capability and vision to develop and implement a tailored work programme to address the skills, enterprise and capability gaps of emigrants who have returned, or plan to return, to live and work in Ireland in order to foster and support entrepreneurial activity amongst that specific group.
The objective of the service sought is to assist returned emigrants in setting up business in Ireland on their return, by working to address barriers and challenges to starting a business that are unique to this group of people, including addressing the gaps in personal and professional networks, support, and up to date local knowledge which would be crucial to successful establishment of new businesses. The programme would seek to attract applications from returning or recently returned emigrants with entrepreneurial ambition whether starting, partnering, acquiring or investing in existing businesses or playing an entrepreneurial role, advising and supporting innovation within existing businesses.
