Sligo County Council is seeking the full range of complimentary consultancy design team services to develop the project from preliminary design, to securing all necessary statutory consents including Part 8 planning, detailed design, tender preparation and assessment, construction administration and handover.
The design team will be required to lead extensive stakeholder engagement as required during the preliminary design, detailed design and planning stages. This is to include management of landownership issues. Through this process, the design team must develop and articulate an overarching vision for Tubbercurry.

Sligo County Council has been approved funding through the National Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) to progress the regeneration and revitalisation of Tubbercurry, Co Sligo.
Sligo County Council intend to procure an Urban Designer/Landscape Architect/Architect Led, Multi- Disciplinary Design Team to progress the detailed design, Part 8 approval and delivery of a Tubbercurry
Public Realm Enhancement project.
This public realm enhancement project has the following objectives: provide quality space for public use; improve the quality of streets, footpaths and urban spaces; provide quality space for community facilities; improve accessibility and connectivity to amenities and facilities; stimulate development potential in
vacant and derelict sites.
The appointed design team lead should be urban designers or landscape architects or architects registered with a relevant professional association. They should have previous experience of inclusive public realm/streetscape design and the implementation of best practice. The design outcomes for this project will provide a holistic vision for physical improvements in Tubbercurry and act as a catalyst for transformative change with benefits for the wider community.
