Short description

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) for the procurement of Railway Ballast.
IÉ has an on-going requirement for the supply and delivery of ballast, which is used in the maintenance of the track infrastructure.
IÉ proposes to pre-qualify a number of suitably qualified candidates to participate in the tender process for the Supply and Delivery of Washed Ballast.
It is proposed to establish a multi-party framework agreement for a three year period with the option available to IE to extend for one additional year.
A copy of the required IÉ Specification as well as a checklist of required support documentation are both attached to the notice along with a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The current framework agreement will expire in June 2021.

Description of the procurement

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) for the procurement of Railway Ballast.
IÉ proposes to pre-qualify a number of suitably qualified candidates to participate in the tender process for the Supply and Delivery of Washed Ballast.
A copy of the required IÉ Specification as well as a checklist of required support documentation are both attached to the notice along with a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
IÉ has an on-going requirement for the supply and delivery of ballast, which is used in the maintenance of the track infrastructure.
It is proposed to establish a multi-party framework agreement.
Annual tenders will be invited for divisional requirements and for stock pile locations. The most competitive supplier for each location will be appointed for the supply of ballast for the respective year.
Specific project requirements and other ad-hoc requirements, which arise during the term of the framework agreement will be subject to mini tender competitions.
The current framework agreement will expire in June 2021.
