The Services comprise the leasing of two fully electric buses to the Authority including all maintenance and servicing. The current intention of the Authority is to make these buses available for use to Local Link Kerry for services operating in County Kerry. These will be Public Service Obligation (PSO) services operated under a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) License. However, the Authority reserves the right to make these buses available to other operators of PSO services should the need arise.
It is anticipated that the two buses will be deployed on two PSO service routes, with an expected daily usage of approximately 535km between the buses. The buses will be shared between the two routes, and there will be some time for charging the buses during the day between services.

The contracting authority will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure irrespective of the outcome of the competition, or if the competition is postponed or cancelled. All costs incurred by interested parties in participating in this competition must be borne by them.
Any contract award will be subject to a number of preconditions, including production of a current tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland. The contracting authority may terminate this competition (or any part thereof), change the basis of and the procedures for the bidding process, at any time, or procure the project by alternative means if it appears that the project can thereby be more advantageously procured. The most economically advantageous or any tender will not automatically be accepted.
