Cork City Council (the “Client”) wish to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant Engineer Led Multi-Disciplinary Design Team for the route selection process for the Cork Northern Distributor Road. The services sought require multi-disciplinary engineering and other specialist consultancy services, consisting of all services necessary or desirable for the purposeful delivery of Phases 1-2 as per the National Transport Authority's Guidelines for the Management of Public Transport Investment and Cost Management Guidelines and Phases 0-1 of the Departments of Public Expenditure an Reform’s Public Spending Code 2019 in line with the Department of Transport Tourism and Sports’ Common Appraisal Framework for Transport Projects and Programmes.
The Cork Northern Distributor Road will provide for orbital movement for bus, pedestrian, cycle and some strategic and/or general traffic thereby reducing reliance on radial routes through Cork City Centre.
