Description of the procurement

Construction of a new 50-bed Residential Care Centre (Gross Floor Area circa. 3,850m2) on a disused agricultural site of 1.27HA, bordered by the R332 to the south, agricultural land to the north, Tuam health centre westwards, and an ambulance base to the esat. The development will comprise of the following:- 1). a two-storey courtyard building with adjoining service and day-care wings comprising 50 no. ensuite bedrooms, together with all ancillary facilities, including reception area, day-care and therapy spaces, sitting, activity rooms and dining areas, family accommodation and associated amenities, offices and administration areas, a production kitchen, service areas, delivery areas, storage, external oxygen storage tank, utility connections, plant areas and roof mounted plant; 2). vehicular circulation routes, including 43 no. car parking spaces with associated vehicular set-down area, delivery yard and 12 no. cycle parking spaces; and 3). provision of communal and private open space, site landscaping, including a roof terrace garden, landscaped courtyards, all other associated site services, site infrastructure and site development works.
