UCC is inviting Expressions of Interests for Reserved Specialists for Mechanical & Electrical Installations.The project consists of the construction of a new circa 8,975m2, Dental education and research building. The building will be primarily used as a dental school with ancillary education, research and innovation facilities including a central sterile services department, roof top plant enclosure and support service areas.

Description of the procurement

UCC is seeking Expressions of Interest from Reserved Specialists for the installation of mechanical services at the Cork University Dental Building. The building will consist of 5 storeys with a combination of dental clinical spaces, minor surgery room, a Clean Disinfection Unit (CDU), teaching spaces, laboratories, office space, toilets, changing areas, store rooms, plant rooms, external facilities / FM yard, etc. The mechanical plant spaces are predominantly located in the FM yard externally or at roof level. There are a number of mechanical and electrical risers located throughout the building which tie in with the plant spaces. The mechanical works consist of above ground foul drainage, hot & cold water services, natural gas and specialist gases, heating, cooling, ventilation (mechanical and natural), fire protective services, BMS, and site services.
