Supply and installation of Traveller welfare units to Galway City Council
The contract is for providing thirteen new welfare units to Carrowbrowne halting site, Galway City. All welfare units must be robust, made of galvanised steel construction for long-life durability and must be secure with a heavy-duty walls, doors and roof and must be vandal proof.
The units incorporate a kitchen with a sink, built in presses and drawers, a bathroom with a wash hand basin, toilet and shower and a service room for plant.
The welfare units must comply with current statutory fire regulations as defined in current Building Regulations Part B or equivalent and must meet current health and safety regulations as defined in current Building Regulations. The works involve the disconnection of all existing mechanical, electrical, drainage services to the existing welfare units before been removed from site.
