The Galway Festival is one of the great racing festivals in Europe. Galway is now looking to improve the overall experience of the site with particular regard to the parade ring. The aim is to create a stadium experience unparalleled in Ireland
An Architect led Single Point Design Team will be appointed to progress a New Parade Ring and Eastern End Redevelopment project. The project will comprise:
• Redesigned parade ring, its perimeter delineated by informal ‘steppings’, or tiered seating, raised viewing platforms, panoramic passenger lifts, and a connecting bridge that links to the existing Tote Building at first floor.
• New hospitality venues at ground and first floor, overlooking parade ring
• New 2 storey pavilion to the South of the Parade Ring, adjacent to the course
• Bookies’ Ring upgrade
• New Pre-parade ring with saddling boxes
• Refurbish first floor of the existing Millennium stand
• New office block for Galway Races personnel
