Short description

The MORTPI system (also known as the RTPI system) is currently operated by a third party under contract to the Authority. This system provides Ireland’s Real Time, Next Departures service and is situated at approximately 800 public transport stops and foyers throughout the country. It was established during 2010 under a contract operated by Dublin City Council. In 2014 the contract was taken over by the Authority. The current contract is due to expire on 31st October 2020.
The Authority aims to establish a contract with a suitable supplier which will continue to operate, maintain, improve and expand the on-street real-time passenger information services offered under the TFI brand.
The Authority intends to expand and improve public transport services in the coming years. There will be new public transport operators and higher customer expectations for reliability of journey times and durations.
