In order to comply with current legislative requirements relating to the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and pressure systems and to ensure statutory requirements are met., thorough examination and inspection of lifting equipment, accessories and pressure vessels is required as per the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) as amended by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 732 of 2007).
The contract shall include the independent and competent examination of equipment and pressure vessels, production of records of inspection, management information reports and access to a web based portal. Inspection of equipment of all Irish Water sites based in 31 LA’s is required amounting to approximately 20,000 items of equipment. Irish Water is seeking to appoint a single supplier for the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and pressure systems.
