The Defence Forces wish to implement a new framework contract for the provision of proactive support, maintenance and future upgrades of its current Symantec antivirus solution. Over the past decade the Defence Forces have invested heavily in a Symantec antivirus solution. This investment consists of extensive technical training for our personnel and considerable configuration and integration of the Symantec solution within the complex Defence Forces ICT estate. The proposed new framework will allow the Defence Forces to maintain and support its current anti-virus solution in order to ensure that Defence Forces ICT systems are protected against internal and external security threats.
