Description of the procurement

The current Ardnacrusha electronic governors which were installed in the 1990’s are now approaching the end of their life. ESB will be issuing a RFQ to suitably qualified tenderers for the replacement of these governors. The successful contractor shall be responsible for the complete design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of new digital governor controllers. There will be 4 governors required in total
The new governor controllers will be a direct replacement for the existing governors controllers. It is envisaged that the replacement governor controllers will interface with the existing hydraulic control valves, Inputs/Outputs and protection devices with minimal changes only where necessary. The existing mechanical components are being retained.
