EST-Constr - Sligo University Hospital. Car Park Extension

Phase 1A: Storm Drainage Diversion Phase A is the initial phase which involves the laying of a new 225m diameter storm sewer passing through the car park and the green area on the eastern end. The new sewer will be connected into an existing manhole located in the green area to the south east of the existing carpark and will pick up several existing gullies en-route to a new manhole constructed on the existing sewer line which discharges to an existing Petrol Interceptor which is to be retained. A number of additional manholes will need to be constructed during Phase A at changes in direction of the new sewer and at locations where Phase 1 and Phase 2 connections are required. Refer to CST Group drawing 118-212-502 T1 for extent of drainage diversion works to be carried out under Phase A. Phase 1b: Construct Level 1 Deck over Southern End of Car Park With Phase A complete the Contractor can then construct temporary roadway and pedestrian footpath to facilitate staff access for parking in the northern half of the existing carpark – referred to as Area 2 on CST Group drawing 118-212-SK001. Contractors Compound and site boundary for Phase 1 can then be established, the extent of which is indicated by Area 1 shown on CST Group drawing 118-212-SK001. Access to Contractor Compound and site for Phase 1 will be through the existing car park entrance road. Works inside Areas 1 can then be carried out to complete Phase 1 of the project. Erect temporary barriers along grid line 4. Phase 1 of the carpark will then be handed over to the HSE and Staff will be permitted to park on Level 0 and Level 1 using the existing carpark entrance road and newly constructed access ramp respectively. Phase 2: Construct Level 1 Deck over North end of Car Park With Phase 1 car park operational for parking on Level 0 and Level 1 the relocated Contractors compound and site boundary for Phase 2 can be then be fully established. Entrance to the Phase 2 Contractor’s compound and site will now be via the temporary roadway. Works in Area
