WCCC 19/355 - Greyfriars Clock Museum Electrical Services Installation

Waterford City and County Council are in the process of converting the Greyfriars Art Gallery into a “Clock Museum”. WCCC are entering this process to engage directly via a contract with a suitable certified electrical contractor to complete the works detailed within this schedule and specification. The Greyfriars building is a listed structure that requires works completed in a structured manor to protect the integrity of the building. All works are projected to start in September 2019 and be finished by mid December 2019. Building works within the building and associated with the electrical upgrade will be provided by FAS under the back to work employment scheme. WCCC will have a site manager at the Greyfriars Building that will manage the day to day construction project and will act a point of contact for the construction project. The appointed electrical contractor will have to provide PSCS for all aspects of the electrical upgrade works. All electrical work must comply with the latest edition of the “National Rules for Electrical Installations”, by Electrical Technical Council of Ireland and "Requirements for Earthing of Electrical Installations". The contractor will be responsible for the submission of all relevant certificates. The approximate positions of lights, switches and socket outlets are given in the relevant Drawings. These positions may be altered on site, subject to the approval of the site engineer.
