LEE458C - LEE458C Supply of a High-Resolution Brightfield Digital Microscope Slide Scanner for NUI Galway

Tenders are sought by NUI Galway for the supply and installation of a High-resolution brightfield microscope slide scanner. The slide digitising system will be used to scan histology slides obtained in educational and research projects and store them as high-resolution digital files. It will scan slides with fixed or frozen samples. Automatic processing of multiple, regular size slides will increase the efficiency of data collection, and multi-level slide scanning (‘Z-stack’) should allow viewing thick samples by changing the focus. Images will be saved and stored in conventional format (jpeg etc.) suitable for analysis, presentation (including through a teaching module) and publication through a readily available free software solution to convert proprietary file format obtained from scanner.
