2581 - The Hire of Mattresses, Seating System and Bariatric Products for Pressure Care Needs

The Contracting Authority requires a hire service for the provision of mattresses, seating systems and bariatric products to provide a support surface for pressure area care needs. On grounds of urgency, and in accordance with the provisions of Articles 29(1) and 28(6)(a) of Directive 2014/24/EU, the Contracting Authority is employing shortened timescales for the conduct of this competition. This course of action is justified on the basis of the strategic significance of this requirement to the Contracting Authority, the need to safeguard patient safety and the impending expiry of the Contracting Authority’s existing contractual arrangements in respect of this service.
