II.1.4)
Short description
Tenders are sought by Maynooth University for the Supply of an Acoustic Liquid Handling System capable of performing rapid mixing of tiny volumes down to 25 nL, with high accuracy and precision from a variety of source plates to a variety of destination plates (typically 96, 384, 1536-well plates). The instrument should use acoustic technology (for accuracy and to minimise use of single-use/disposable plastics) and capabilities as laid out in the requirements tables of this document. This instrument will be used for preparation of samples for highly bespoke DNA nanotechnology and DNA computing applications, but also possibly DNA-protein structures, proteins and RNA nanostructures. The instrument should allow for the rapid mixing of large numbers of low-volume samples with higher speed, lower error rates, and higher accuracy and precision than humans and typical pipette-tip based liquid handlers.
