Mary Robinson’s extensive personal archive and memorabilia, gifted to the University of Galway, will be displayed in exhibitions and study rooms, making this important collection accessible via digitisation.
The scope of AVIT services details the required media design that will be incorporated in the final fit out of the Centre and service requirements as outlined in the Request for Tender documentation. This is an open tender competition incorporating a Compliance and Selection Criteria (Stage 1) and Contract Award Evaluation (Stage 2, M.E.A.T based on Quality / Price criterion). Completed tender submissions must be returned electronically via eTenders on or before 5.00pm Friday the 21st April 2023.

Description of the procurement

AVIT Media Software services for the Mary Robinson Centre, Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland on behalf of Mayo County Council.
The Centre will explore the key themes and issues surrounding Mary Robinson’s legacy as an influential world leader from the West of Ireland.

The collection will be presented so as to engage a wide range of audiences from school groups to families, simultaneously facilitating deeper research by academics and university students.
Haley Sharpe Design, are the appointed designers for the Mary Robinson Centre, and have prepared the scope of AVIT services which details the required media design that will be incorporated in the final fit out of the Centre and service requirements as outlined in the Request for Tender documentation.
Tendering consultants are required to submit a Fixed Price Lump Sum Tender Bid in relation to the provision of Consultancy services for AVIT Media Software. This is an open tender competition incorporating a Compliance and Selection Criteria (Stage 1) and Contract Award Evaluation (Stage 2, M.E.A.T based on Quality / Price criterion).
The Employer is Mayo County Council and completed tender submissions must be returned electronically via eTenders on or before 5.00pm Friday the 21st April 2023. Queries must be lodged through the eTenders messaging system on or before 5.00pm the 24th March 2023

The total performance period (The Term) for the overall delivery of the project is 8 months. Service commencement is expected to be May/June 2023. Mayo County Council reserves the right to extend the Term for a period or periods of up to 3 months with a maximum of 2 such extensions on the same terms and conditions.

The AVIT Software must be produced in accordance with the specifications in the RFT. The Producer shall provide all professional, technical, and non-personal services necessary for the production of exhibit digital media and interactives, taking them from their current state of development to well-defined, finished productions. The Producer shall be responsible for proposing, developing and testing the ideal innovative, engaging, inclusive, and technical approaches for all media and interactivity within the exhibit based upon the existing AVIT Software briefs, known scope and accessibility requirements, as well as known limitations of cost, space, durability, available content, intent, project editorial guidelines, and infrastructure requirements.
