Short description
The Services comprise of Project management, facilitation and implementation of a primary and secondary level education and information project to inform young learners about aquaculture, seafood production, climate science, marine science, geography, map reading, socioeconomics, nutrition and other related topics. The key focus is to inform young learners about the importance and positive benefits of aquaculture and the factors and influences that effect food demand and production, economic development and the social, economic and cultural impacts of food production and supply. The project should be guided by the "Farmed in the EU initiative" and the materials provided therein. The project will entail the deployment of suitably qualified and experienced key personnel and a mobile classroom to primary schools, secondary schools (most often the former) and "summer camps" and/or festival events throughout Ireland to deliver the learning outcomes.
