Short description

Researchers within Trinity College Dublin have developed and designed the Carbon Impact system, a device that captures carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air using a high performance adsorbent, in a Temperature Vacuum Swing Adsorption (TVSA) process. A full design has been developed in a previous project and the team is now looking for a supplier to build the system. Trinity College Dublin is therefore seeking a suitable mechanical engineering contractor (hereafter MEC) that can facilitate the building of the system.
Expressions of interest are requested for the supply of a Direct Air Capture industrial prototype to Trinity College Dublin for a consortium led by Trinity College Dublin. It is expected that the supply of the capture device will be provided by, or managed by, a single vendor. The initial expenditure is valued at 200,000 Ex VAT but Trinity anticipates the overall contract value, including extensions, may reach 250,000 Ex VAT.

A full design has been developed in a previous project and the team is now looking for a supplier to build the system. Trinity College Dublin is therefore seeking a suitable mechanical engineering contractor (hereafter MEC) that can facilitate the building of the system.
