The service to be provided shall comprise: • Reception, handling, and transfer of non-recyclable waste from the Civic Amenity waste facility to an agreed destination for recovery or disposal. • The organisation of the reception, temporary storage, collection, and recycling of recyclable materials delivered to the Civic Amenity area in conjunction with recycling bodies approved by the Council. Recyclables to include, but not confined to paper, cardboard, ferrous material, aluminium, oils, glass, textiles, batteries, plastics, plasterboard, household C&D, household hazardous waste, waste electrical equipment and green waste.

Description of the procurement

Concession is awarded on the basis of  the criteria described below
  • Criterion:  Understanding of needs and proposed Approach and Methodology for addressing the following:
  • Criterion:  Quality and level of Manpower and machine resources proposed to provide the services in this tender.
  • Criterion:  Proposed approach to ensure H&S of workers/visitors/customers coming to the CA to recycle their goods, and other agents of SDCC. Approach to implementing HSE and gov guidelines for Covid-19.
  • Criterion:  Outline of the Environmental Management Systems proposed to achieve ongoing overall compliance with the council and EPA Licence’s requirements and needs.
  • Criterion:  Annual Concession Offer
