Short description

The OGCIO IT Service Delivery Unit is responsible for providing, supporting and developing ICT services and a standard set of desktop applications for over 20 organisations, for circa 5,500 users and across over to 50 office locations countrywide. The IT Service Delivery Unit (SDU) uses Sentinel One Singularity. Tenderers are invited to submit tenders for the renewal of existing Sentinel One Singularity licences and provision/drawdown of additional licences over a three year term. A renewal amount of 6000 will be used for evaluation. The exact renewal amount will be agreed with successful reseller prior to the order being placed. It is envisaged the number of licences required this will change over the term of the contract. The maximum licence cost will be fixed for the duration of the contract and paid annually over the 3 year (36 month) term.

Description of the procurement

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) is a division of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and is tasked with delivering the Government’s Digital and ICT Strategy. The OGCIO has the leadership role for the digital agenda across Government. OGCIO works in collaboration with organisations across the Civil and Public Service and has growing involvement in supporting sectoral digital development. The OGCIO has a wide-ranging remit in addition to delivery of the Government Public Service ICT Strategy the OGCIO is also responsible for providing ICT Services to a number of Government Departments, the private Government Network, Public Service ICT policy, approval of major ICT expenditure across the wider civil and public service, and engaging with the EU on its eGovernment Action Plan.
The IT Service Delivery Unit in the OGCIO is responsible for providing, supporting and developing ICT services and a standard set of desktop applications for over 20 organisations, for circa 5,500 users and across over to 50 office locations countrywide. It is expected that this service will continue to grow and expand over time. The IT Service Delivery Unit in the OGCIO also provide central infrastructure hosting and private Government Cloud services to Public Service Bodies (PSBs).
