Short description
Dublin Bus invites expressions of interest for suitably qualified parties to participate in a tendering competition to undertake this modification works to include (but not be limited to) the following:
• Pick up of vehicle from DB garage ( 8 possible locations)
• Preparation of vehicle
• Removal of existing engine door and hinge arrangement
• Fabrication of new engine door and new hinge framework to DB specification
• Painting of new engine door with 2 pack acrylic paint in a suitable HT oven to DB paint specification
• Fitting and alignment of the new engine door, hinge arrangement and associated parts to DB specification
• Fitting of any vinyls if required (DB to provide)
• Return of vehicle to DB location.
Dublin Bus expect the contract to be completed within twelve months.

Description of the procurement
“Dublin Bus operates a fleet of 575 Vehicles that carry a Wrights Eclipse Gemini 3 body. These vehicles were built between 2014 and 2020. The vast majority are “SG” type Volvo diesel powered buses, with 6 that are hybrid powered ( 3 x “VH” and 3 x “WH” types).
A decision has been taken to upgrade the rear engine door and hinging arrangement on all of these buses over the coming 12 months. The works involved are specified in the drawings etc which will form part of the ITT.
