Description of the procurement

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) requires the services of a technically competent and experienced company to undertake certification and maintenace of its lifting and safety equipment in line with statutory obligations. The equipment is located in a number of engineering facilities across a large geographical area in the Republic of Ireland.
Lot 1 – Examination, Inspection and Certification of lifting equipment, including replacement equipment that has been found to be not suitable or has failed an inspection. The successful tenderer will be required to inspect and certify all lifting equipment at the required intervals (6 monthly, 12 monthly, due date etc), and to maintain an on-line register of all lifting equipment.
The types of lifting equipment are (but not limited to):
• Cranes
• Ropes Slings
• Scissors Grabs
• Bottle Jacks
• Safety Shackles
• Lever Hoists
• Lifting Ropes
The Contract the subject of this competition is a contract for three 3 years with an option to extend by one year extensions up to, two additional years at IE’s discretion
