This is a call to competition by IÉ for suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process for the proposed tender for the Battery Electric Multiple Unit (BEMU) infrastructure works to provide charging facilities including substation and energy storage system (DART + PROGRAMME BEMU)
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) have made the first order of Battery Electric Multiple Unit (BEMU) trains to decarbonise public transport via replacement of some diesel services. For BEMUs to operate successfully, charging facilities are required to recharge the batteries along with a substation and energy storage system to provide the power.
