Wheel Boring Machine for Rolling Stock Fleets
This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of the design, supply, commissioning, installation, training, provision of consumable parts, calibration and maintenance of a CNC Wheel Boring Machine for the finish machining of all of IÉ’s wheel pans (the “Contract”).
The machinery is required to be delivered, installed and commissioned at our Inchicore site. All maintenance, training and other work will occur at this site.
The machine will need to have the capability of an automated pre & post measuring system allowing for reporting which can be stored and printed.
This piece of equipment will be responsible for machining all Wheels on the IÉ fleets which are regarded as Safety Critical components under our Safety Management Standards.
